View Full Version : toString, underscores, and Percent 5F!

Hello!

I'm trying to output a loadVars object to string, and it works just fine and dandy, except it goes a little something like this:

the variable is: start.ADDR_ORIGIN
the outputted variable name is: ADDR%5FORIGIN

The server-side script I'm sending the string to doesn't like that one bit, and said it would phone my momma if I keep doing it... please advise!

Look up escape/unescape in the AS dictionary. And tell your script to behave! :P

Flash has escape() and unescape()
chances are your serverside script has something similar if you need it there

Thanks for the help! I'd like to announce the engagement of me and my server-side script... we have patched up all our differences, and in honor of your assistance, we will name our firstborn "Senoilyas"!
