I was thinking that since there are NO php tuts on kirupa.com that I would go ahead and write a few since the same questions come up over and over again dealing w/ PHP, MySql and flash or any of the above interacting with eachother.
Any suggestions or requests? I was thinking of doing maybe a member registration and login or some sort of shoutbox thing... Or maybe Kirupa wants no php in his //edit// FLASH kingdom???

list of tutorials that I have planned:
1) mySQL -> XML dump (for creating backups of your database contents) -- Not actually a tutorial more of an open source thing
2) using Include Files
3) a simple session tutorial

I was thinking about writing a basic tutorial(conditionals, operators, loops, etc)
Maybe an SQL tutorial also(not nessecarily just PHP, that should be useful to ASP and .NET programmers too)

Oh yeah...
and a XML/PHP news/headline type thing :)
Yeah those are probably needed as well... I always point people to the manual when they ask a question about loops or something like that... :sigh:

Sounds good, I guess I'll just post to this thread as I start one if you guys want to do the same. I'm working on a big project now so it may be a while before I get motivated to do a tut but at the same time, I may do one as I work on a specific aspect of the site, seeing as it will include sessions, user login, a shopping cart, a database search feature, a bulk loading from xls->cvs script, and a ton of things that would make great tutorials.

Almost forgot, Jubba, if you need some help debugging or otherwise with your mySql --> xml backup project, don't hesitate to pm me or send the files. I would love to get my hands into that.

If you don't feel like writing up a full tute, feel free to add shorter bits & tricks to http://64.207.155.38/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=32478...
