I've seen some installs of vBullutin with a nice "Thanks" button visible on each post. Clicking that will add up a "number of times you have been thanked" score (which is visible near your avatar), and is quite a significant motivation to write your answers well... in the hope that you will be thanked by the asker, and other members who found your info helpful.
:battery: Can we have this "Thanks" feature/plugin installed?
I know a couple of forum admins that have this feature, if the admins over here need any help just ask, I could get in touch with them.

Hi zeldalink!
I've looked into that feature and similar features in the past. The biggest problem with them is that they require touching and modifying a large number of files on the forums.
Making the change is fairly easy. Maintaining it is really hard because these add-ons are not officially supported and may easily break when migrating to the next version of vBulletin :)
Cheers!

Hi kirupa!
Its an honour to speak with such a reputed Flash warrior!! Thanks for your response.
Would you need to ever upgrade to the next version of vBulletin? Or can we just remain as we are since anyways most vulnerabilities etc and patched and we have whatever features we need? (social, groups, etc)
I think it would be a really, really useful feature, and it would be quite a nice reason/motivation to write your answers well... and it would definitely improve the quality of answers here on kirupaForum.
May I ask again for the Thank you feature again, Please?!
Best regards,
for Zelda, Link.

Upgrading to a new version of vBulletin is done at least once a month to fix patches and vulnerabilities. In the past, that wasn't done, and the end results weren't pretty. In one extreme case, a good number of posts were permanently deleted :(
