Hey everyone,
If you are the creator of a thread, and you find that your thread has been diverted off topic by random comments or ridiculous statements, feel free to use the Thread Hijacked graphic by simply typing:

It will look like:

Also, it would be in your best interest to briefly summarize your question or opinion so that subsequent posts will know what the thread is about.

For the most part, the thread's creator should use the hijack image. If the thread's creator has no problems with a thread going off topic, I don't think any of the members should unless they really want to continue a convo and the thread's creator is unavailable.

Cheers!
Kirupa

kirupa <-- Hijack tag doesn't work unless you put something inside?

Haha, I'd imagine you would.

We ought to use dynamic text in the image (phpgd). Does vbulletin support this, because it'd be lots of fun to make (and not that hard?

vB does use some of the GD features during registration where people have to copy a weird word from a confusing image to prove they aren't a registration bot or something :)

So, it could be possible.

I was thinking of that to...but someone would have to learn gd.... lol.... and write the bbcode... but... like on my forum.. i put my derailed thread image in a table with "subject: {param}" in the row below and it turned out prety ok...

All posts made since midnight last night were removed when I reverted back to the older version of the forums. The only threads that I saved were the two made in the ActionScript 3 forum.
