upload multiple files and overwrite

How do i upload multiple files at one time? using php and they should overwrite..

basically i have 4 fields.... and if either one , or two or all four of the fields have been updated... on sumbit they should overwrite the past files..

so there are 4 images that should be overwritten if there is a new update...
