Storyline (modifed from classic RTS Command and Conquer: Tiberian series)


In the deserts of Africa, the Brotherhood of Nod was hiding after the defeat in 1st Tiberium War. Keen eyed GDI rangers were striding up and down the deserts, hoping to flush remaining Nod forces out.

The situation is desperate. Ezekiel's Wheel, the stealth tanks, pride of the Brotherhood kept sabotaging GDI outposts. Every time these tanks returned unscathed from the battlefield. However, their power was limited. That did not stop more and more GDI forces pouring into the area.

"One powerful sneak destroyer is better than a thousand mini stealthed gun pods." said a commander one day. Then this marks the birth of a stealthed super tank and the return of the Brotherhood.

The Super Tank


The Ezekiel's Destroyer features a new multi-weapon system. Powered by 12 mini hydrogen fuel cells (and a Tiberium reactor which is still in development), the vehicle wields dual 40mm gattling cannon and multi-missile system which a clip contains 16 shots. More than enough to reduce any armour to scrap. The tank has the capacity to carry 2 tactical nuclear bombs, making it a more devastating weapon which can take a military base all on its own.

The improved Lazarus Shield keeps the power flowing even when the hull is severely damaged. Moreover, the cloak-boost allow the vehicle to fire in stealthed status and to hide from enemy detection units for a short period of time.

Game-play

This is a top-down driving and shooting 2D game. The objective depends on the mission, but all missions have 1 thing in common: you need to deal the greatest amount of damage on the enemy in the shortest period of time.

The game is NOT complete, yet. The scoring system and upgrade system are bothering us at the moment because it is incredibly difficult to strike a balance so that the game does not become too easy or too difficult.

That is why we need your help. To those who are interested, please complete the control tutorial and the combat tutorial (you drive and shoot at the same time so even the most skilful gamers . Go ahead and try level 0 out, which is extremely easy to pass but need some work to get high scores. Reply to this thread with your score, preferably with a screenshot.

I got stuck with my "wheels" inside the wall trying to make a corner in the tutorial
(instead of B just try to spin when you get the first item in the movement tutorial)

then I just realized there's no reset level or go back to menu button...
-ops: played the second tutorial... why M? M should be Map and Esc should be menu
try to listen to the key 27 (esc) and send me back to the previus menu would be great

when gear is backwards rotation is too... it's not a car, it's a hover-tank, if i want to rotate left (ccw) it should rotate left, no matter the gear i am as it doesn't use wheel friction.

i will be honest, i didn't like the gear stuff, it would be better to use the down arrow.

the first explosion lags... i dunno if it has to do with the flash way of caching things, but it lags even my winamp.

tutorial is OK but you should have told me about the M key waaaaay before.

hmm... so i bought some upgrades and all but when i click save and continue...
nothing happens

i must click save and go back to menu then i can click load and play mission 1...
ok, i played it and i saw enemies on movement! good, but then i stand in front of them instead of hitting me and unveiling my vehicle they just stop a meter away and do nothing

ok, then i reached the first tower started killing it and the cars showed up and killed me. then "Mission Failed" appeared on my screen, and i click on the dialog box to restart the mission
then I see my self collecting that 10 itens again... shouldn't I be playing the mission 1 and not the 0?

about the rotating and wall hitting, when i rotate and hit a wall my rotation speed should be affected too, and not only getting stuck in the wall with 0 rotation speed and visible to everbody...

is the super cloak supposed to last only 1 second?

Actually, the wheels getting stuck is a problem that we have been trying to solve for a long time. Hit testing against terrain objects is quite a tricky topic.

And the gear stuff... you are not the first one to complain. Since there are too many complaints, it is changed. And the updated version will be posted.

It is our mistake that this stealth tank looks like a hover tank. Perhaps it is because of the lack of interaction with the terrain like treads.

And holy cow! Reveal of mission 1 is not part of the plan! Mission 1 is NOT ready. We will need to "hide" it. Sorry about the mistake. We disabled the save and continue button of mission 0 but forgot about the load saved game button.

The rotation stuff and wall hitting... Could you please elaborate the bug more clearly? I guess that your case happens when you get stuck near the wall and when you try to rotate, the tank shivers/vibrates. And you are unable to back gear out. Is it the problem?

Super cloak lasts several seconds. The time is very short, we know that. And it can't be long otherwise the game will be far too easy. And you can upgrade the cloak boost power to have a longer time.

p.s. Quite a nice score as a new player. The best player currently is either the chief programmer or the head of audio team, who is a hardcore gamer.

yes, the bug is when you rotate next to a wall and vibrate(try to reverse rotation speed when this happens for the tank to go back to the good rotation)

i think it's too easy to kill from a certain range, but when you are in their range the handling of the tank isn't exactly fast. (i think it's cause i didn't have any upgrades)

Well that's actually the idea of lower levels. We don't want players to get killed that easily so up till level 2, all enemy units can be outranged by the player, if not by gattling cannon, by missiles.
