So this is my first vector character, took about 4 hours lol. Also took another 4 - 6 hours looking at characters and stuff online.

It's going to go on menu's and stuff for a local family style restaurant, not sure if it's going to be main logo I think it's a bit too detailed for that.

What do you think? Be honest!

not bad, i like the hat and the shading, i think the arms could be bigger and you should give her some feet.
but it's looks OK. 4 hours!? what program are you using?

Haha, illustrator. It's my first one ever so I took my oh so sweet time. I'm a web designer not a character designer, so I had to learn how to use a lot of illustrator features.

you need some sort of definition on the hands, possibly more shading

Nice, but the anti-alias seems off for some reason on a few of the thinner lines. Also agree about the contrast issues on the hand, they need to be outlined in some way to bring them away from the white apron.

I think what's wrong is that there is not single light source (it's sort of directly in front, but feels a little off) :fab:

I remember when I tried to learn illustrator I made a bunny holding a hand grenade and had to annoy simp a lot for help.
