IRC Channel

Hi,

I can't access the IRC Channel :-\ I downloaded mIRC, set the options right:

IRC Network: All
Random US DALnet server

I filled in all the fields like email and nickname and all, but I just can't connect. This is what it says:

* Connecting to irc.dal.net (6667)
-
* Unable to connect (Connection Timed Out)

Error window: You seem to be having trouble connecting to an IRC server. The message that appeared said "Unable to connect to IRC server". Click on the help button below for more information that might help you.

I tried to check those four boxes the Announcement spoke of, but no luck. What am I doing wrong ?

rather than selecting a random DALnet server, try specifying one in the options. since you're in europe, it might be worth trying one with EU in the server name :)

google for some alternate DALnet servers and try connecting with them

Yeah, I had to go throught he list of DALnet servers manually until I found one that worked :hangover:, but it's served me good since then :thumb:

Yay ! It's working ! =) I used the second DALnet server: arcor.de.eu.dal.net
