How come the lab on this site never has new stuff?

Seems like that lab could have hundreds of cool experiments.

And they could change all the time.

it does - but it has to be very special. Seems that lately people haven't tried out 'new' stuff...

I personnaly consider that ahmed's squibble(scribble?) should be there, giving credit where credit is due.

I don't know. Seems like the masters are not too into it.

Bear in mind that a lot of the Masters have full time jobs to hold down, so don't always have the spare time needed to come up with new experiments. :)

It would be cool if they focused on it a little.

What is it there for?

Well we try to keep the Lab for really special experiments, things that haven't been tried much before. There's really no point in uploading something thatyou can find on any Flash oriented site. The whole point is that it's for the one in a thousand kind of Flash programs. :)

There's also the fact that making the experiments to a good enough standard does take time. It's not just coming up with a quick working version, it has to be fool proof to go up there.

We haven't forgotton it, honestly. :)

Yeah - the files up there are some of the more unique animations you will find. This section isn't a stock gallery of effects though :)

it should be..... well u should make one. then yea. maybe there should be a new forum section called: Fla's & Tutorials.... and people make theyre own stuff and then write tutorials for the needy (like me)

There shouldn't be a flash repository here.

Kirupa is about learning; hence our "search the forum" motto.

If there was a repository, forum attendance would drop, or the traffic would increase without an increase in overall knowledge of the Kirupa "think tank."

It's community and it's knowledge; both are very powerful and the key to successful learning.

A flash repository would undermine that.

but if you want experiments, i guess i could help chug out a couple...

bit-101 has one almost every day. that and levitated are all experiment sites. kirupa described what our lab is here for, but if you want experiments, check those.
