Hello,

I'm still a novice with flash. I know I need to break this site up into components and load things independantly. If anyone has a good idea on where I can learn that please let me know.

Also any help finding some better looking scroller code.

A better pixel font. This one seems a little too hefty.

Anyway this is the concept. I think it has the feel I'm going for. Please let me know your thoughts.

The only thing that works is the His Story Button.

Cheers

text is WAY to small. If you want to clear up a pixel font, don't embed the outline.

looks great though.

In my opinion your site has a nice look but the font is too dim and font size is too small. When i clicked on the btn. "his story" the text used for that was even smaller. The pictures you've used are good ,music is good too. The scroller you've used is flash mx's components scroller, i think. Do you want a different scroller eg. with arrows pointing upwards and downwards kind of ? One more thing when i pressed the above mentioned btn. twice 2 things took place one was the"his story" text disappeared and there was something wrong with the music . Overall, your site is nice and clean.

some people seem to have the font be tiny and other it is normal sized.

It is in there at 10pt??

why would it shrink?

I found the text illegible. The site looks nice though.

you can make it so that the flash file fits to the screen, therefore making the text a little bigger when users maximise the explorer window.

when you publish ur file in flash first go to 'publish settings and set the html settings, dimentions to 100percent width and height!

also on making the flash file smaller by splitting it up, you should use the tutorial 'full flash site' this helped me alot!!

one problem is that you would need to change the file name of your first page to index or default and delete the large.swf file from the folder. This will make only the first page of the site load.

let me know how you get on, as I have been having some 'teething problems' :)

have you used a non system font as dynamic text ?? i did this once without embedding it and what happens is that your nice 10pt font is turned into 10pt sans (which is tiny) i think ??
or maybe you just used a tiny font ?? either way the text is tiny

Nice look though i like it

Yes -- the text's a problem. Here is how it looked like for me. Nice pictures though EM :)

Looks nice but you haven't embeded your font.

To do this:

1) Click on the text box

2) Then click the "Characters" (In the properties panel, Left hand side)

3) Cleck the bullet point "All Characters" and click Done.

Problem Solvered!

Nice site.

Again some awesome images EM ! The trees and the bench ... very beautiful  ! You might wanna make a mail form when pressing the mail button.

Daxeh, (Dan + Sexeh)

Yes I know I was trying a bunch of different images trying to find the right ones. If I use the trees I need to find a higher res copy of the image. Otherwise I have to stretch it in flash to fit.

Joeba,

My next stages are building the content and layout for the different sections as well as building a mail form. The mailto: is just a stand it for now, so all my fans know how to contact me.
