Have fun kids :)
dont fret too much - I would much rather be going back to school instead of working full time. I mean I do a job that i love but school was just too much fun, so much freedom... one of the best times of my life.

"School" itself hasn't started for me yet, but all the orientation and lectures stuff has. So far it is fun, but of course it is fun....none of the real work has started for me yet ;)

i'm just wondering, at freshman orientation (for the college people here), did you get the speech about "no means no".
They had some people act that out. like this guy was trying to get on this girl, and she's like "no means no".
it was funny.
now on the other hand, i had class today. both my classes are going to be ok. in my advertising campaigns class, she's going to break us up into groups and we have to go do a campaign for a client.
everybody in that class is cool, EXCEPT for one girl. she is one of the most annoying people i have ever encountered in my life. i am praying to god (in which i don't believe, btw) that she won't be in my group cause i think i'll have to beat her up.

No pinx we didn't get a "no means no" speech here. Most of our speeches were about why academics are important and why we should all take part in the undergraduate research opportunities available.
I also accidentally walked into a room where they were discussing "Diversity and Racial Issues", and before I could walk out of the room of 10 people, I was handed a name tag and a free pen. Of course I stayed (didn't speak though)...I got a free pen :)

Haha... You either went into an OME (office of minority education) or BSU (Black student Union) thingie.
What floor in baker? Have you been to Simmons yet? That's where I'm going to live.

We got the whole diversity/"no means no" thing. It was kinda funny, they were acting out a "no means no" skit, and when they were going up to a room, the guy accidentally fell on stage in front of a good 600 people. So in the middle of them trying to do a serious skit, everybody busts out laughing.
The diversity was the best, we got this awesome questionaire.
1). Are you afraid when you see someone drive by you in a truck with a gun rack?
2). When you see an African American driving an expensive car, do you think he must have stolen it?
3). When you see a group of people of another race walking towards you on the street, do you often turn around and go the other way?
Those are the only ones I remember, but that was the best class I've ever had.

I went to the "A Conversation about Race and Ethnicity" program, and I'm temporarily in the 3rd floor of Baker. They'll move me and everyone else in two days into another area of Baker though :)
I haven't been to Simmons, but it looks pretty cool from the outside - I'm staring at it right now while writing this.
