...welcome to Canada's BBC Kids channel. An odd name for the station that will shortly be watching Lister wrestling with Kryten's groinal hose, but no matter. From September 1st BBC Kids will be screening all series of Red Dwarf, kicking off - with ridiculous common sense - with Series I.click here for the story (http://www.reddwarf.co.uk/)

Just saw the hot DVD set for the first few seasons. I'll make you a deal, if I find a $35 somewhere, I'll order up the first season and check it out.

I grabbed mine while they were showing on PBS, and they are kinda worn, so yours (like Kit's) will be a lot better quality than mine...

One of the best shows ever made...

Gee thanks,

All this talk of Red Dwarf, so now I'm craving a dish of chicken vindaloo.

Stark raving in Houston

So what's the basic genre? Is it along the Star Trek lines or what?

I'm not sure you can define Red Dwarf as being of a specific genre, it's setting is outer space, but it's definitely NOT Star Trek. It's more like Blakes 7 meets Monty Python's Flying Circus. :)

It's English humour at it's best, truly it is. Red Dwarf is an absolute classic.

It's not Star Trek by any stretch of the imagination. :) This is about four blokes in space. One's dead. One's a robot. And one's a cat. There's also the ship's computer, Holly...

An no aliens.

It's just... Perfect :)

Um... I don't really know what to say to that but I'll probably get that hot first season and watch it. Also, what is a bloke?

D*mn yanks. You have little to no sense of humor. (by the way, I'll try and catch an episode of it.)

On a similar note, my parents have been telling me about their favourite shows from days of old like black adder, the bus ridders (something like that), and countless others which I want to see because they all look funny. What were your favourites other than red dwarf?
