So yesterday at about 12:00, i was on the computer, and it was getting kinda slow, so i tried to restart it, but whe u restart, and it starts back up, first its like the information and stuff, and the its that loading screen that says Loading Windows Xp, or something like that, and after it showed that, the screen is all black, but you can here all the sounds and stuff when you right click, i thought that it was just because it was on all day, but i try it today, and its the same thing...
so is there any other way of fixing it beside reformatting it????

Well maybe its the screens light. Turn it up by holding FN, and then one of the F keys for light and sun up. What I do is press hold the FN key (which is next to the control for me), and then tap F6 and F8 until I get my light up. F5 and F7 are light down.
- I hope you understood what I said, it's all key pressing. -
: It's worth a try...:-\ :

Sharif, i think that only applies to laptops/notebooks
Vepr, you could try doing the same with the actual monitor if your using a desktop.

are you getting beeping sounds when you start it up? could be a video card error.

i dunno, when it starts, and i can't see anything, it does make a sound, the same sound as when it gets an error, but i don't it is the lights, because the loading thing and all that is fine.
-thanks
