Hey there guys, I've written a few days ago a small series of articles on distributing your Flash games, stuff that I've learned while distributing my first game and I'd like to share it here. One of the articles has a list of portal submission links and emails sorted by Alexa ranking, which is pretty handy for people doing self distribution.
It's at http://notejot.com/2009/03/marketingmonetizing-a-flash-game-part-4-distributing-your-game
Like I said, it's a small series of blog entries I wrote on trying to look for a sponsor, sitelocking a game and the distribution process after getting sponsorship - basically what I learned after developing the game.
Part 1: First steps - MochiAds / MochiBot / FGL : http://notejot.com/2009/02/new-flash-game-gravpull/
Part 2: Sitelocking a game in AS3 : http://notejot.com/2009/02/sitelocking-an-actionscript-3-flash-game/
Part 3: Seeking out a Sponsor Yourself :

Part 4: Self Distributing a Game :

The game which is the basis for me writing these articles is a pretty simple game, being my first serious attempt at doing a game, but I got a primary sponsorship with Armor Games and sold a site locked version to Big Fish Games. I'm happy with how it turned out but I want to do better next time. It's a simple gravity physics based game called GravPull. If you are curious, you can check GravPull at http://notejot.com/my-games/gravpull/
I've learned so much from the community that I'm trying to share a little back - hopefully this stuff is useful to somebody.
