Preload my home page with .SWF & .PNG Files

I am having trouble preloading my .swf files. Can anyone tell me how to create a "index" Page that says page loading while all of my .swf & .png files upload?

From what I understand from that link is your are adding a preloader to a flash file.
I need to preload my whole home page.

Maybe I am reading it wrong.
