I'm currently a mature student studying graphic communication. As part of the course, we are all required to participate in work experience so I've just created my website in order to present some of my work to companies that I will be applying to.
Thanks

It's pretty cool, i don't think it's too user friendly though. If you're working with companies that already have a background in tech related stuff i'm sure it won't be too much of a problem though.

Any reason you chose to frame it like that? I think it might work better full-screen.
Also, it's really easy to get really far from the content area when you move your mouse to the side... You might think about moving the movement limits in closer so it's not pure white when I go for the bottom-left menu.

Your work is brilliant, but the entire screen moving with the mouse is a little obnoxious. I think you can do this full screen with no movement, as your design is already strong enough. Simple is always best, and your content is so good that the site design should be second to the content.

Hey guys! I really appreciate the comments. The reason it has a border was to make sure lower screen resolutions could see the whole content. I can see your point on keeping it simple. Perhaps I'll have a little rethink! Many thanks again.

I like the 'screen moving' thing, but I would restrict it a bit more. And mayby you could play around with some rotation effects. For instance if I would move my cursor over your gallery items, you could turn the screen after a little timeout. You could do the same for the contact form, if a user focusses on a textfield you could turn the screen.
Nice work, cheers!

That sounds like a good idea mate! Unfortunately, I wouldn't even have a clue on how to do that. I guess I would have to have some kind of rollover tween animation! Could bump up the file size though :(

Very creative idea. it's not really a website, it's art :P and I like that.
Like mentioned above I would like the moving screen less sensitive then it would work out really great! The VERY bright green could be replaced with some more eye-friendly colour. Almost got a headache after 1 min. Other than that keep up the good work!
If you like you can critisize my site too :beam:- http://www.kirupa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=320327

You could achieve this by using actionscript, you can make motion tweens using actionscript.

I like it! Yes at first, the motion was a bit trippy, but I got use to it. Keep it the same. There is the option to turn off the motion. If you change your site too much from how it is, you lose the uniqueness.
I would suggest to make the outside border color darker to center focus to the content. The bright color hurt my eyes a little. :)

Cheers! Appreciate all the feedback! I'll look into the rotation idea! It would be good if I could add that, although I would be scared it would become even less user friendly than it already is. Thanks for the advice on the colours! Yeah it is bright. The only problem is my whole brand was created using this colour scheme. It would mean changing all my design work so far. Definitely worth looking into though. Again, thanks.
