I hated that game - but I think that's because I didnt give it enough time. If a fps doesnt have me hooked in the first 30 min, I wont ever give it a second look.

I detested that game also. I kept on having my training mission restarted because I couldn't avoid running around, jumping around the intstructor, or firing the humvee.

CS is too old already, it was good back in the day.. its overplayed and it just stopped being original. There are such better games out there:

Raven Shield, Desert Combat, Ghost Recon... And mods like: Natural Selections just blows CS out of the water.

America's army > CS. Counter-strike tries to be realistic, but it isn't close. Either be Unreal tournamenty or be completely realistic. CS didn't do either. America's army is 100% realistic. Can't beat it. plus free.

I remember when I first played AA, tons of people found ways to cheat somehow. The most common was god mode. So lots of people stopped, but duno if they've fixed it or not, it's been a while.

They have fixed it. In the latest version (1.9.0) there is a system called PunkBuster in place which monitors players computers for activity resembling cheats, and even before that, I don't think I had ever played against a cheating player.
