Hi,
I use Jasc paint shop to create transparent gif as of good quality as they use in games..but the outcome gifs are so poor quality...How do they create those nice transperent gifs/images ?
Can flash create such images..?.

why not use flash for animations,

I will not use an animation...I need some transparent images to use in my website...so I need to change some of my jpegs to gifs ...as far as I know jpegs can not be transparent..

Can flash create such images..?.

File, Export, Export Image, choose GIF format, click the Transparent box.

You might also want to make sure you're creating your gifs properly in Paint Shop:

Have you tried PNGs? They support alpha channels which allow for smoother edges in transparencies.

and PNGs have more colours

hi, neilmmm,
Could you please explain how I can create a nice PNG transparent image..using flash or jasc paint shop..
I tried a few times but still I get no transparency for PNG and poor quality for GIF..
?

Photoshop or GIMP would be the way to go. And use PNGs for multi-channel alpha ;-)
