The site is 99% complete, however, I just need to change the news animation/link to whatever the client decides on.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION.... THANKS FOR THE FEEDBACK, very helpful

Make that 26 views now. I'm not exactly sure what it is you want contributing...maybe 25 people have viewed it and thought it was fine, so you're seeking a congratulatory pat on the back?

However those 25 people might've had the same experience as my own, which is that I've been waiting some 5 minutes for anything (anything at all) to download other than a black screen. If that's the case then, just like me, they probably closed the link and felt they couldn't contribute towards something they hadn't yet seen.

So that's my contribution...do something to speed up the downloading, and provide some kind of indication as to how long the download might take.

Hope that helps.

^It worked for me; maybe you don't have the right version of flash.

firstly, I was referring to the thread in it's entirety, not MY post in particular, although I would enjoy feedback, hence my posting. Secondly, I have no clue why it didn't DL for you? There is a preloader, and if you don't have the current flash version(ten) an alert should pop up... Thanks for the heads up though, I'll look into possible bandwidth issues on my end, or perhaps you're computer just "froze" down there @ the south pole! J/K! Thanks again forthe heads up and check again later and let me know what you think about the site!

way too over the top to me. Looks like a bunch of tutorials slapped together to make a site. Also from a color stand point, when I think fitness I think vibrance and energy. What you have here is dull and dark and the opposite. I like the swirly things but maybe find a better way to fit them into the site. And the logo is just plain fugly. The bevel is nasty. I honestly do not think you should have done this in flash. No enhanced interactivity or value added by doing so, not even intro and exit animation between the sections. I would revisit whats going on here. Functionally it works but it is lacking in several departments and usability and accessibility is suffering.

1. I'm on dial-up so the comments about a preloader and/or optimising the download speed may still be valid.

2. I'm using FP9 on here. Unless it really does require the latest version because it's using some of the new features, then it would be nice to be informed. And if it doesn't require any of the new features then it should be published in as low a version as possible that gives maximum exposure to the greatest number of potential viewers.

There you go, some more constructive feedback :D

Keep in mind Hirsch, its the weekend and things get slow as people have lives. ALso those visits mayb be guests just browsing. Dont get so butt hurt when you aren't flooded with crits. Just let the post marinate for a while they will come.

1. Embedded music is evil.
...
No, really, music is evil.
...
Wait- did I mention? Music is evil. And that enya **** in particular.

2. Agree with DDD about the logo/lack of energy. Drop them bevels, go to a cleaner, sportier (read: not-black-background) color scheme.

3. The navigation feels a little clunky, but that's not really the problem- there's no UI coherence here. It starts, you have the nice exploded box effect, then it just snaps to a (slightly different perspective) carousel. how about zooming and having the exploded logo box thing somehow be the nav?

4. Don't put your logo on the footer of the page. It causes an unnecessary scrollbar, and it's tacky to credit yourself on a client project.

Hope this helps. Hang in there-
