Google earth on my website?

Hi all. I created a file in google earth of our office's location and I want to place a link to the file on our website so when someone clicks on it, the file opens up in the user's google earth application. I put the file on our server, created the link, but all it says is that the file cannot be found. Has anyone ever done this? Thanks!
