Hi all,
I've got the bare bones of my Flex portfolio site up. I'm not a designer - as you'll soon work out if you have a look! But this is really to show off my coding. If you want to have a look at the code right click and select view source.

Look forward to your comments!

DDD - Interesting, I'm using Fox 3.0.5 at the mo... will investigate. You need Flash 9 for it to work.

Ah - it's double click on the icons. I'm going to need to change that, it seems to be too unclear. Cheers for having a look tho.

Might want to anchor your menus and open windows in the center. Right now it kind of goes off the bottom of my screen on 1280x800 (common res for laptops).

It seems extremely dated and the animation isn't to smooth. But a good start.

I'm with lovelust, it just doesn't have much going for it. You may be a good developer, but the design needs some help. I don't particularly like the interface that much. It just doesn't seem that make much sense to open window over window and be able to drag them around. I prefer a more traditional approach.

If you were going to use the whole dragging window idea at least make your site full browser. why would someone need to drag a box around in that tiny space? Doesn't make much sense.
If this is to show off your dev skills it should be 100 times crazier. I know a great amount of designers that could do a more complex site in an afternoon.
Sorry to sound so brutal, just trying to help out.

Win2k, FP 9, FF 3.
Why are you using Windows 2000? That is like 9 years old, if you use it because it is cut down. You should try out Server 03 after configuring it to this guide http://www.msfn.org/win2k3/
