Flash Developer

The ideal candidate must have:
-Minimum of 2-3 years or more interactive industry work experience.
-Solid object oriented programming skills in AS3.
-Experience in mvc and other design patterns, knowledge of various AS3 frameworks such as PureMVC a plus
-Experience in Papervision3D/Away3D/Sandy
-Experience in game design
-Experience in social network widgets and desktop widgets a plus
-Strong design and motion graphics / animation skills.
-Knowledge of speed and size optimization in Flash.
-Excellent communication and organizational skills.
-Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines.

My candidate has 5 years experience and currently freelances full-time. He knows AS2 and AS3 and object-oriented AS. He also does PHP, MySQL, XML, for the backend and knows a series of Flash additions, such as RED5 communication server for streaming video and video recording from webcam. He codes extremely clean in MVC style OOP and can work and or coordinate a group of developers on projects. He works fast and efficiently. He has worked on projects such as UniversalPictures.com, Hellboy II, The Bourne Conspiracy, and many other titles as well as projects. His previous employer was Crew Creative and they primarily did Entertainment industry Flash sites, applications, and gadgets. He has extensive experience in these subjects.

He is currently located in Los Angeles but is planning to move to New York within the month. He would be open to a contract to hire style engagement or purely contract based.

In terms of salary he is looking for something in the 110k-120k range. A contract-to-hire engagement would be ideal.

He also does game development. He has done games for Narnia - Prince Casbian, and Wall-E, for Disney as well as working for Maya Entertainment directly to create a new RPG in Flash for their new movie Sleep Dealer.
