Hi everyone,
Here is a sample entry. Notice that I provide a preview of the animation in the following link: http://www.kirupa.com/contests/examples/FXpression09/fxpression_example.html (http://www.kirupa.com/contests/examples/FXpression09/fxpression_example.html)

Second, I Zip up the SWF file and have it attached to this post.

Cheers!
Kirupa :)

Indeed. All I did from the snow examples I posted on my blog is to rename the class from SnowFlake to Circle...and change the color to Green.

Its AS3, so you wont be able to use the source in flash 8

but he could convert it to as2 if he was really dedicated :\

For an AS2 based version, check out some other tutorials on the site that show a similar effect. The most direct one to this would be: http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/snow.htm

I have several other older tutorials that involve moving circles, so those should help :)

I use flashdevelop for as3, but have flash 8 as well. So, I wasn't able to open the file, but if kirupa posts the as3 version, I would still be able to look at the source.

I really just wanted to see what he was doing with the circles: if they were movie clips or if he was drawing them.
