Seeing how I just got a tablet and would like to start drawing and making art. I need some resources. Where do I start from? Some good tips? Tutorial sites? I am familiar with photoshop but not with the pen functions.

I am familiar with photoshop but not with the pen functions.

Then you're not really familiar w/ it are ya? That's like the equivalent of saying, I know how to use a PC but I can't really figure out how to turn it on :D

I keed. Anyways there's really nothing "special" to learn about a tablet (i assume you mean a Wacom or the likes and not a tablet PC) it's as simple as picking a pencil and drawing. The only things that you MAY want to you consider if you have a Wacom, use the spring loaded tip, and adjust the pressure sensitivities and angles. I personally use a really hard pressure, and don't really focus on much else as I get my desired effects. Another GREAT thing about a tablet in relation to photoshop is the control you get over the brushes, so when you are making a brush, or using one, in the brush settings play w/ the angles, spreads and jittering to your likings, and remember the brush is now pressure sensitive so it's not like clicking w/ the brush where you always get one result.

If you want to be good with a tablet, get good at using a pencil and paper. It's just a tool. Learn to draw, and you won't have to learn how to use a tablet ;)
