Is hiphop for nerds?

When you think of hiphop, do you only think the streets? the gangs? the drugs? I understand completely if you do. I get the impression most computer savy people I've delt with don't listen or would never give hiphop a chance. I been on this site for a year or so, learned a ton of stuff, and I'm hiphop. I use hiphop to express my self, everyone has an opinion and thoughts. I want to encourage more of you to give it a chance! Here's my musc page www.myspace.com/hipolitical . One of my tracks is on a national cd, and I need online votes for it. The winner gets an interview live on a national station, I want to prove that when it comes to this online avenue, no one has it on lock better than a nerd. Do you like hiphop?

I consider myself a nerd and I too enjoy hip-hop. I'll check out your link when I get home from work. Good luck, and don't be surprised when you find out there are a lot more 'nerds' that do actually listen to hip-hop than you thought.

I dind't want to offend anyone, I consider my self a nerd. I learn for fun. I just wanted to reach out to designers and programmers to help get some votes and metion that nerds do good hiphop on the flipside. Any votes would be appriciated, this is mainstream. thanks!

hip hop isn't just a genre of music, it's a culture. i find it kind of sad how it's become so cheap and it seems to be a joke to most people. i love true hip hop, not radio hip POP. and i'm a complete nerd.

I have knew lots of hip hoppers, and for me, they are not nerd.
They're just being themselves.
They were just exercising their rights of freedom expression. :angel:
