You want to know how the WHOLE site was done? I'll tell ya, but dont tell no one else, *whispers* they done it with flash. :P

VW did one of two things. THey hired a very good Flash designer that has years of experience to do that site and they had him work in-house.

or

they hired an outside firm like 2Advanced. Either way, lots of work and experience. :)

if it helps you at all eminem... (although it is quite an extravagent request) looks like some rollovers... easing... masking maybe... but not much more than some easing with layers so like learn the easing tute... set up your layers with the different mc's... find the end points for all of the mc's for open/closed... and then you gotta do some if statements to check if ones are already opened and whatnot.... not a really hard effect to achieve but learn the easing tutorial and i think you will figure something out...

Simple Really. The Tutorial on Butts can help you acheive any of the moving [over] arrows. Then the rest is just like the others said. Its actually kinda cool to see a bunch of really simple concepts put together like that to make a really nice site. All you need is to do the tutorials that come w/ Flash and then a couple on Kirupa here. Its all very simple.
