Spider Friend (venom series)

This really cool spider is guarding my house it seems! I shot
these right outside my front door! :crazy:

He's about the size of a quarter with his legs out.

Even with a flash at night, these turned out really well. I'm really
happy with them. As I was watching, it caught a few bugs and
I watched it wrap them up and kill em. I got 1 good shot of that,
#3 I think. Enjoy -

i think the first one and the last ones were teh best, the other ones i didnt really like, they were a little to weird. i donnno.

I am terrified of spiders. Just mentioning them makes me cringe and actually seeing them scares me senseless...

I don't mind the big tarantuals tho.... its just the small ones that freak me out... weird eh?

I spent a couple hrs searching 100's of websites for what kind it
is, and the best I can come up with is a Brown Orb-Weaver.
Which is really vague, since there's 100's Orb-Weaver species.
*shrug* oh well.

One of the cool things about it tho, is it tears down and rebuilds
its web every day !! We watched for a bit again last night
as it was starting over. So cool to see. (Sorry jubba)

I only looked at the first pic, coz, like Jubba, I don't like spiders either. I did look at the bug ones in your other thread, and those were nice, so I guess these 'll be too so they don't need my looking to approve of them :D

haha you guys are funny. WIthout the spiders, though, we'll
be infested with moths, millars, and all sorts of other bugs! I'd
prefer the 1 spider and let him live his life where he sits.

3d-iva - I was trying to be original with the name, but 'Venom'
stuck. Oh well...at least he's named I s'pose.

No I did not kill him, nor do I intend to kill him. You guys are afraid
of a little thing like a spider. You are so much bigger than him,

Well, I am here for your enjoyment! Actually, even tho they terrify me, I am facsinated by them. I always watch the Discover Channel when it comes on about spiders and spider bites and the like. Its like a horror movie...
