View Full Version : Is religious experience merely an electronic impulse?

Some of the world's top neuroscientists have found a link between a specific part of the brain and moments of religious experience. If their theory about the brain is correct, faith and religious experience may simply be an electromagnetic field in the brain.

I can't believe that this is the face of an inspirational leader that convinced a large group to commit suicide and they would be rewarded with a spot on a spaceship travelling behind a comet:

I think its more the fact that a certain region of the brain is stimulated when the impulse is about religion. That would mean that there is a specific part of the brain that deals with subjects such as that.
its not like its a 900 number straight to the pearly-gate's reception desk...

yeah David Icke has some weird theories going on, but im reading his book called, "Alice and Wonderland and The World Trade Center Disaster: Why the ofiicial story is a monumental lie" and it is chock full of interesting information. Supposedly, though, the last chapter deals with an alternate race of lizard men who control the world.... kinda freaky, but how does that saying go, "truth is stranger than fiction..."

the main thing that keeps me from starting smoking again, is that I visualize just how bad that first ciggy is going to taste...
then all of the sudden, I don't want one. all of my friends still smoke tho. I even have 4 or 5 ashtrays out for them to smoke in my house... sometimes, I just want to rip one out of their packs and light it up, but then again, I remember how filthy that first one tastes...
and I go back to the convo...

actually, that is why I started. If I had a cig in my hand, I could sit on my butt for 10 min out of every 90, but if I didn't, I was a goldbricker... so I started smoking.
