Portfolio - Which one should I use?

Well, when I started out I was wanting to portray something that was very natural and showcased my photos. Yesterday, however, I asked blackpulp what he thought of version one and he thought the logo was the strongpoint. He liked the retro feel. I agreed with that and decided to try and build around the logo in the second site.

The first one seems to common.
At least the second one has character.

cause there are more colors and somehow its more welcoming...the second one is red and very specific red that is somehow sad to me. I want to see it on the center....dunno I can judge better then. :P

good points with the dark red and centering. I centered them both and added a more 'welcoming' color to the second one.

good :) I find that the font is a bit small, I'm on 1024 x 768 res. maybe size 6 or 8 would fit better. loose the scroll bar as there is anything to scroll yet I like the green nature thing going on :) I love nature.

The second one just killed me,:P I 'm about to go to sleep and that color just woke me up, **** I need a cofi :P

I say make first one a bit bigger like 600 x 400 at least and design in that space, make that imaging fly man:P I wanna see more!!!

no problem ....stroke = 1pt or if u choose bigger stroke make shadow in the back of it.

I think 2 is too simple, and has too much contrast. So I go for #1.

centered :) I'm missing maybe 2 more links, like u had before, dont make the same color for logo and nav... make logo or links black. on the bottom of the page u could put
(c) ocartuch all right reserved 2003 , if that's the right name, see I had hard time guessing what letters it is....I would make more clear that first letter. See how the box looks better with 80% white, now u talking....continue :)

site = centered with maybe a nice tile from sides.
