It's looking better alex
But, it is way too spread out.
You should try to pull things together and make them look more planned out.
It's an improvement though=)
Keep up the good work

More words of wisdom, as I look at this some more.
The tutorials Listed where created by Alex (Alexs Designs). Please don't steal the tutorials and claim them as your own. If I find out that someone is taking them, I will contact your ISP.
that is really ugly and distracting there. Just set a link to it. You also spelled were wrong.
The white on dark gray also looks bad, try to pick a better contrasting color, also your text boxes make me sad, they are just black and white.
Use some css and sexy them up, if you don't know how to do the css stuffs send me an e-mail and I'll help you out.
Ok I'm done this time

hmm... I think i know why your header and content aren't connecting. the code is
<td width="180" valign=top align=top bgcolor="#000000" height="1" rowspan="2">
<table width=180 border=0 cellspacing=1 cellpadding=2 bgcolor=#000000 height="1"><tr>
you need to change the valign=top that you added to valign="top". Hopefully that will work.

heres the code you need to use
<td width="180" valign="top" align=top bgcolor="#000000" height="1" rowspan="2">
<table width=180 border=0 cellspacing=1 cellpadding=2 bgcolor=#000000 height="1"><tr>

I don't think that matters, you can use <font color=blue>Blue Text</font> as well as <font color="blue">Blue Text</font>
<font color="blue">Blue Text</font>
<font color=blue>Blue Text</font>
But it's worth a try, I can be wrong too :)

It looks a bit small on my comp, cause i'm on a 1240X1028 resolution :-\ Maybe you should make it bigger somehow to support for other resolution sizes :)

I liked the first site u had better, that blue montage u had on the home page was way more fun that this dark html site...maybe is just me...

I'd say the colors and layout are good. It seems anti-steve-krug (usability expert) when you make the page titles (in the red backgrounds) smaller than the body text.

too many different fonts are being used here.......standardize....Also I would add something more that showcases talent and makes a user want to click. Everything is so monotone my eye is not directed anywhere and I leave with nothing branded. Which is important since you want to create and experience let alone get hired. Not ripping you but this is how people are when they shop for developers....but I do see you are learning and applying which is good and will make your stay in developing a long one

your home part should appear when the site loads up, the user shouldn't have to click to go to it unless they are on another page. Also, have you ever considered doing a light colored site. all of your color schemes have been fine, but try doing a lighter colored site, you'll probably be amazed. I like this site, its very well laid out for an html/flash site.

Hey Alex, what are the requirements for an interview??
Xzandar
August 15th, 2003, 11:58 AM
Alex. Take a bow. You improve with every version. Most can't say that. *honestly couldn't say it, himself* *cough* Ahem!
Anyway, one thing that does pose as a problem is that your font in the "Alex's Designs: Web Design" section doesn't match the rest of the font flow of your site. :)
Other than that, I give it a 8/10! :)
Take care,
Chris

Hey man - this is a small thing, but there are some parts of the site where the text is Times New Roman, and the rest is Arial
I know it's a work in progress, but you should change that.
Alex

Nice work, Alex. It looks much better now that the fonts are fixed. *decides to terrorize your site* lol. j/k.
One question, though, Alex. How can you have paid projects, when you're not even 17, yet? I'm just curious, because I've been wondering whether to start charging for my work, or not, but I'm not sure if you need a business license to receive payment, or not. :-X
Take care,
Chris

Alex

im not going to do to many things for free. :P
MrMass

u have to start somewhere in life....for example my company doesnt charge much but we make sure the site looks like its well payed, which is not the case most of the time, but u get a name for yourself and welll ur design stands out from the rest.
Communicating and making the client happy its sometimes more important then taking lots of money.
