Pretty fun so far. I just really feel sad for the people playing this with the 360 controller, I tried for a while and the AI appears to smart and trigger happy for it to be fair.

I don't want to give anything away for a bit till I've beaten it and know whats important and whats not. I've only played it for like 3 hours but so far its really fun.

If you can though get it for PC. Also unless your DX10 card is one of the top of the align ones your forced to use DX9 (DX10 options are only for high settings it removes low as an option).

This game does a great job of making marksmanship skill matter (you use your diamonds to pay for upgrades/weapons). Without it your garnade throws can be pretty bad. I threw one into a fence post and it landed at my feet.

Honestly, I was thinking about this game until I saw the DRM. Also Call of Duty 5 and Mirror's Edge are a bit more appealing for my mulah.

^Meh, I've bought every game so far with the DRM which is kind of funny and can say they keep releasing patches to remove the DRM after x months so I could care less. Plus my farcry2 is from steam so the they just have to strip out the drm and i can redownload it (3.5gb in < 20min at work; 7 to 8 mb/s).

I don't understand whats so fun about this game I played the first and I played this one didn't hold my interest neither of them but that's just me enjoy your game my friend.

Now Mirrors Edge I'm looking forward to looks like a good game and I might be buying Little Big Planet although I know I will regret it just like the Wii and all the crap I bought for it but its one of those things where you have to try it so no one tells you about it.

^I'll admit this game is pretty slow game... it kind of loses its fun after a bit of driving and killing small groups.

This game is just a buffer till L4D anyway it was never suppose to be a big release or anything. Its just one of those filler games. Even Crysis had better graphics and ran smoother (once in a great while farcry "slows" down for a second during fire fights).

^Exactly (although there are bugs with the mouse in the menu and such and some video cards (not mine) are having problems with fluid mouse movements with the guns). Although yea, the point that the areas have a lot of of holes in the fences I could see one getting shot a ton not realizing it was through the fence ect...

BTW, don't for any reason use any gun other the ones you buy. The ones the guys drop jam a lot, trust me they jam at the wrong time. Also pistol is amazing you can basically just head shot everyone the accuracy is so much with it, compared to the other guns.

Hmmm, from the reviews they said it was at least a ton better than Crysis. Anyway, I've bought it and played through the first 8% of the game. I can definitely see the repetitive parts in the fetch and kill missions, however...the gun play is done just right. It's not too realistic nor too arcadey, the guns feel right, though the sounds are kinda generic. Also, I love the non-GUI approach, the map is pretty fun to use though hunting around for diamonds is a pain in the *** (though that's the point). The storyline is pretty meh so far though...but the first person immersion is great! Sticking a knife into your knee and picking out shrapnel makes for quite a dramatic effect.

And it's pretty bloody as well...heh, like when an enemy is injured but not dead, you can finish them off with a huge stab right down in their stomach with your machete... :)

Again, this game actually makes the Uzi a decent weapon! Though, it freaking jams in the middle of firefights.

Last time I checked back on reality, it seemed that guns did tend to jam a fair amount. :insomniac: Are you able to clean your weapons in FC2? Because that would be epic.

As far as I can tell you can't clean your guns either. Which sucks...since when I picked up a shotgun from a guy I killed, and promptly tried to to use it, the loaded shell jammed haha. I could see it sticking out diagonally from the barrel. My character kept furiously trying to unjam it by smashing the pump up and down for like 5 minutes haha during a firefight. Needless to say, that was a close one until I learned to buy a m249. :P

No the servers for the pc are always acting up. I can't get it to find games and such, just gets stuck in a loop.
