hi,

i'm trying to recreate an effect seen in this flash animation - http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail57.html - (and also in many other cartoons, esp anime)

it's the background effect with all the lines that look like they're zooming... in the link i provided, it's when he's flying through space.

anyway, i'm pretty sure it's just 2 different frames of lines repeating, but when i try it just doesn't look right... I've tried tweens, just moving hte lines, and i cant get it

anyone got some ideas?
thanks
Stuart

Make one movie clip then duplicate it and send it across the screen. If you need AS code I can give it to you.

I did the same sort of thing with fish here

Change the fish to lines and kick up the speed and it should do.

ii thought that would work, but it doesnt' really look right.. also, the specific example on their site is actually only composed of a few frames ( i think 2) which are then repeated

i guess i'll just have to play around some more

thanks anyway
