I am looking for an affordable scanner to scan photos and drawings. Which one is worth getting?

hmm, depends on your price range. Why do you want to scan photos and drawings? is it for the internet, or for other uses?

This isn't a hard 1 anymore. You can get like an awesome scanner for like 100$...

I have a HP Scanjet 4pse, I know they do not make those dinosaurs anymore, but I have been really happy with the quality of the scans from it. So, I would suggest an HP of some sort. =)
Cheers!

If size isn't an issue, then just set your price range, and go for the one with the highest resolution. My scanner is about 4 years old now and is absolutly huge, but it is still running at a good enough resolution for me :-)

Epson has some scanners for under 100 that work just fine.
some even come with slide/transparency adapters .

hp psc 1210. Cost me $100 at best buy, and it's a scanner / printer / copier. Hard to beat that deal. It seems to work pretty well, and it prints pretty quickly. I've had no complaints.

It's for a digital picture gallery online.

for an online gallery you could have a POS and still be fine. Screen res scans aint no big deal. If you get the cheapest one you can find you should be fine for that. If later, when you have more money, and you want to upgrade, you can. In the mean time, here, have my gameboy camera and use the printer that goes along with that
