Which software do you recommend for making videos for youtube - you know, so you can add text, music over photographs. etc.

Also, what if I had three flash video files that I had downloaded from youtube and wanted to cut them up into segments to create a new movie - what would you reccomend?

An example of what I am talking about can be seen here, it has pieces of film spliced together, and also text spliced up and placed over the video:

thank you.

Movie maker is really easy to use, and I believe it can do everything you said. Its been a long time sense I used it.

//edit, there are numerous converts for flv to avi ect (been a while sense I've had to go that direction with a video though, but I'm sure someone knows).

There is no "best" software for youtube videos it's really just what you're comfortable with, and the compression you use. Compression isn't that big a deal since youtube will re-compress your files for you.

I've always used Camtasia Studio 5 for video editing. It seems to be one of the best as far as I know.
