Climb a telephone pole. Then hit the electrical wire with a metal rod. That should make one good enough for you. Just watch out, you might get a tiny shock, but nothing too bad.

You could also try poking around http://www.theforce.net in the short films section. They even have tutes on how to add the light sabre effect to any short film.
