Hi all!

Thought I would post my final year uni project. Aptly named 'harvard ref'. Quite simply if you have ever had to compile a bibliography or harvard reference. Then 'harvard ref' formats and generates a reference for you.

I am aware of similar sites out there, but with my site I am trying to attempt to get users more social with referencing (little odd I know). But I thought it would be good as an educational tool.

The project is being submitted for an award and I think I find out in a while if I have made it to the final 5 or something. Unlikely that will happen, but it would be interesting to get your thoughts on it.

The site is made up of PHP, mySQL, XHTML/CSS, JS (Prototype etc..).

The site has primarily been developed with Safari so far and is a little buggy in FireFox and IE. I would recommend Safari if you can (I'm a mac user, sorry lol).

Anyway here is the link:

Here is a facebook group to, that lists know bugs etc..

Thanks.

That's pretty cool. I like the simple design too, very appropriate to the content.

awesome idea. I think you should also have an IMDB lookup (more diverse than amazon) for film data, if you choose to expand it :D

Very true, but Amazon owns IMDB...so I guess they have similar data :-) . I have a few extra ideas that I haven't added yet to help expand the concept and audience.
