*No real spoilers*

So last night I went to a premiere screening of the new comedy Pineapple Express, starring Seth Rogen and James Franco. And I have to say that I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would.

The movie was definately a 'stoner' movie, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The humor was great. As with all of Seth Rogen's movies, they could be 15 minutes shorter than they are as this one runs it at ~2 hours.

The action is pretty humorous, and in certain scenes you can totally see they are making fun of action movies (for example the scene they load up on guns). The acting was okay, it's about what you have seen in movies like Superbad, Knocked Up, etc.

So the ultimate question being, would I spend $9 to see it?

Probably.. I give it a 7.5/10

This movie was amazing. Definitely one of the funniest I've seen in a really long time.

Why does every comedy in the past 5 years have the same friggin people? Yes, Rogan is hilarious with his straight-faced, deadpan humor, but I don't want to see him in every comedy. Same goes for Steve Carel, Will Ferrel and that fat Jonah kid from Super Bad.

Well, Seth Rogen, Judd Apatow, Jonah Hill, and James Franco are all good friends, so it kinda makes sense that they'd want to do movies together.

Will Ferrell, I'm kind of with you on that one. He's a very funny guy, but he gets cast in the same "2-Hour SNL Skit" movies waaay too much.

As for Steve Carell, he is a comedic genius, and if you ever say anything negative about him I will burn your house to the ground. Ok, sorry, that was a little harsh... But I will kick your dog.

I agree Steve Carell is fantastic. I especially enjoyed his 40 Year Old Virgin.

Don't get me wrong, I think they're all funny, I just want to see some NEW funny people every once and a while.

On a side note, I don't a problem with all those guys being buddies and all. Hell, Adam Sandler keeps his friends in pretty much all his movies. Only difference is that he stopped being funny a while ago. :(
