ello, my name is Dennis Scott. I am new to all flash sites. This is my first attempt. I made a site for a friend of mine (she is an artist) Here is the site I made for her.
www.sarahlochtest.freeweb7.com (http://www.sarahlochtest.freeweb7.com)

Please tell me what you think. NO NEED TO BE GENTLE. It still needs some polishing but would appreciate if you told me what to polish:)

(Oh and "Galerie" is NOT misspelled. Thats the way that gallery spells it on their sign)

Its good, fairly simple and very clean.

I have a slow connection, and you may want to incorporate something that tells you if its loading or not.

Though its not original and theres nothing really special about it.

I see you don't have a contact page up, go to the AS3 section and look at the link i posted, it works great.

wow, thanks for the quick reply. Yeah, I have a contact page. Its just that her server doesnt support it, so I have that coming soon sign there until she gets a new one. Any ideas as to how I can "jazz" it up?

try some different transitioning effects out, and maybe a bit of animation (not recommended if you can't do it well, i see some people complaining about annoying animation every day). Other than that, like i said it looks clean, and the color theme is nice

I'm not really a fan of the color scheme. There is too much empty space. I can still mess with the contact form.

hey temjin

it is extremely important that your users know something is loading, so incorporating a percent loader or a progress bar should be your first concern.

Also your menu buttons need some work, with out interactivity flash has no point. So it would be nice to see some kind of roll over action on those buttons. If you need code help with your preloader or buttons i would be more then happy to help you.

I like the approach your taking but the site needs some cleaning up, the typography needs some major help, the color needs some help and you might want to clean up the overall layout of the page.

Good work, it just needs some more thought.:beer2:

Thanks for all the replies. I am revising as we speak. I hope to have a better one up by tomorrow evening. I have since moved the site to sarahlochtest.myartsonline.com because it better supports the php mail function needed for the contact form. I will post a revised site when its running. Thanks again for your helpful criticism!
