Hi, I'm new to Flash. I am working as an Intern at Penn State Harrisburg. I need to create an interactive campus map. I have been working on it for a while, and I've got it somewhat done. But its not right, its not really what I'm looking for.
http://php.scripts.psu.edu/dept/iit/hbg/visitors/campusmap2.php is what I have so far (I'm sorry if this link doesn't belong here, its just a point of reference to show what i'm working with). Right now, what you see following the cursor are images that I created and added text to. This works fine, but the locations at the top cut off because the image is too big.
What I'm looking to try to do is similiar to this map that SMU uses: http://www.smu.edu/maps/flash/. I tried to create something like it, but I can't figure out how to make the windows. I can get hover captions, but I don't know how to make the window collapse and open, and add the little close x there in the corner. I'm not sure if its all Flash and Actionscript or if its something else.
I have been looking for tutorials that are similiar, but I don't think I'm using the right search terms. I'm getting there, but I'd like it to look a lot better.
