View Full Version : Making the grains from the photos dissappear (better quality photo help)

Well , i took this photo , and i have a Mavica Camera (not very good) Ad i just wanted to know is there a way to make this photo look beter all i usually do is adjust the brightness and contrast but that still doesnt look good.) Can anyone show me a way to make photos better

Hey pares, ouch not a nice photo there, its a shame, could of look good if you got a clean shot. Well to fix something like that , would take alot of photoshoping, my advice would be to add some brightness and contrast, play with the curves, levels.

To remove the grains , try filter / noise/ despeckle

or you can try filter / noise / dust and scractches .

I would also try adjusting the levels. If despeckle doesn't get your fancy, why not try the smart blur filter? Its reduces the detail a little, but might give you an effect you like. If there are still areas you are unhappy with, then use the 'heal' tool to fine tune the image.

i know i took that picture and its perfect except for lighting!! :\

i wouldn't worry about it. the beauty of digital photography is you can edit the pictures anyway you want! I love my digicam and photoshop :love:

if you reduce the image it will take the grain out....

you could also mask the red lights, then apply a slight blur....

but it defo needs curves.............very dark.
