Hi

The logo will be used primarily on the web, in a flash site, and on a business card. It’s a personalised representation for an individual rather than his companies/business interests.

Please tell me what you think (good/bad/improvements/direction) and in particular what impressions you get of the person behind the logo.

PS: If you know of an Illustrator Tutorial which shows how to better create the effect in no.1 please post a link I'm not as proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator as I am in Flash.

No drop shadows on a logo. Ever.

I like the initials (nos. 1 , 2, 3, 4) better than the one with the crown, but the type is way too close to the illustration. If that is going to be on a business card, I suspect it will be difficult to read scaled down.

The bottom ones, with the crown, are a little hard to read. You have dark text (yas), then very light blue/grey (ee), then more dark (n). The "Yas" and "Theba" underneath are the only things my eye is drawn towards due to the extreme contrast (nos. 5, 6, 7).

Why not just have the name in type with a (R) its distinctive enough

I would definitely go with the yt ones as your name isn't really a word so its more confusing in the bottom logos.

Hmm... 1-4 could work.
