Craigslist = PS3!!!

Hello all!

I had to write in about the best thing I've accomplished through Craigslist in a long while.

I live in Muncie, IN - and I was searching through the posts on Craigslist and noticed a gentleman that posted a Toshiba Tablet PC for $220.00. I contacted said user and asked what was wrong with it - he said he didn't know ... it turned on and that was about it - no windows would load up or anything etc. etc.

So, taking a chance I purchased the Tablet PC for the $220.00 and tried to reformat it with my copy of Vista Home Premium, and sure enough - everything works like a charm! I come to find out that a brand new version of this Tablet PC retails for $1,200 or so on Ebay.

Now this gives me two working Tablet PC(s) and even though this one is nice, I like my existing one better - so I put up the new Tablet PC I just purchased back on Craigslist to see how much I can get for it ... at $800.00.

No offers for 3 months.

So I go back to Craigslist to find a decent trade for the Tablet PC - and I find another person in Evansville, IN who has a PS3 with Rockband, (guitar, drums, mic), Tiger Woods 08, Madden 08, Sonic the Hedgehog, and some basketball game, with 2 controllers, and a charging dock for the controllers. Mind you this is the 60 gig version. He has it listed for $500.00.

I offer a straight up trade for the new Tablet PC that I have obtained and he goes for it. A week later and presto...

I have a PS3!

With that, the first purchase I made for it was Resistance: Fall of Man - do any of you out there with a PS3 currently have any suggestions on things I must have? Since I banked on this, I have some spare cash to spend - I was thinking of getting Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and possibly MGS4 ... any others? Any additional equipment I should get?

Pshh. Takes like 40 minutes to get through all the installs and cutscenes before you get to play. Overrated imo.

get (or download and burn) some blu-rays for it (unless you have a bluray player)

i have a question because i may buy one --- can it connect to your pc network and play .avi files off of it, through your tv, like an x-box can?

Yeah i just recently purchased a used PS3 on craigslist for 300 bucks with a game and its the first gen one so its backward compatible with all previous PS games, traded in a few xbox 360 games I had and got MGS4 for 5 bucks :lol: the game is good if your a fan of the series otherwise avoid it you will hate it.

Other than that I dont have any games or plan to buy any other besides God of War 3 or Shadow Colossus 2 if that ever comes out.

Now I have all 3 consoles and I still think the X360 i the best out of all the 3 ;P

I play Tiger Woods, Guitar Hero 3 and Mario Kart on the Wii ...

And now I'm looking to expand with Rock Band, and Resistance, (just bought Ninja Gaiden Sigma today) for the PS3 to see how it pairs up...will Shadow Colossus 2 and God of War 3 be 360/PS3 titles only? or will they be for PC too?

I've not played MGS before ... so I doubt I make that purchase anytime soon for MGS4 ... I have put some serious thought into getting GTA4 though ... we'll see.

Nope Shadow Colossus 2 and God of War 3 will most likely be PS3 exclusives since they are developed by Sony internal development studios so don't expect to see them anywhere else if its not on a PS3.

You should've bought Ninja Gaiden 2 for x360 instead of sigma its very good

I was just going to borrow NG2 from my brother - he already bought it ...

That and buying games off Ebay is so much more efficient cost wise than going out and buying brand new games at $60.00 a pop ... ya know?
