I just recently got this cd because i am an avid coldplay fan and i am in love with the viva la vida single. To be honest it was kind of a let down. It isnt really my style of music but i still enjoy it because of the messages coldplay puts into their music. I think its a good cd for a big coldplay fan but for someone that likes a little faster music, its not for you.

Coldplay totally stole that song from Creaky Boards. My suspicions of unoriginality are confirmed. :fight:

they sound similar except for the fact that coldplay sounds way better
I really like it, and i'm a huge metal\hardrock\screemo\emo\deathmetal\etcetc fan, its pretty calming. By the way i think theres already a thread about this

It defiently had more substance then their last album X&Y, which I thought (even though im quite the Coldplay fan) was just really shallow. Viva la vida though really has a progression through the album through it even with an old 'the wall' trick of looping the sound of the last track looping back around to the first. They tried a bit more of an experiential techniques in parts, but it still has the definite traits of 'for the masses/sell albums' hinting through, but this doesnt detract from the quality of the music. I have recently lost a bit of faith in coldplay's image, just the fact that they are on an itunes commerical kind of make you wonder: "how much did they get for that?".
Not as good as A Rush of Blood to the Head, which is one of my favourite albums, but defiently up their in the coldplay realm. As for in the whole scheme of album releases, prob going to be forgotten after a year or so, but not as fast as X&Y.
