I am working with another (kind of a co-webmaster kind of thing) for Milwaukee County (it's in wisconsin in case ya care). And we just implemented a new webpage, in which I used Flash for the banner at the top of the page.
I was hoping you guys could take a look, see if anything breaks (specifically in Flash) and let me know any ideas that could improve the site. Thanks

well, is profesional looking, but a bit... dull. I don't see any real problems

personally, I would have just used a jpg b/c there's nothing in the banner that has any flash implications. Also, it reduces your jpg quality (which you can set on export). Long story short, unless you want to add some tweens or something, just use the jpgs.

The reason they didn't want to use jpgs, is because they want the pictures to rotate. Originally it was done only on refresh using ASP (VBScript) But they want the pictures rotating while the user is viewing the page.
I know it's dull. Ha. I was thrown into the project when it was about 80% completed, and so I didn't have much control over where it was going. Just to accomplish what was left to do.

Subtle use of Flash eh? I think it servers it's purpose. I think considering the situation you were tossed into it's pretty good.

I would make that blue darker... or I would change that image in the center...but they dont go together even do... its the same blue....contrast is very important especially in static sites!
