movieclip corresponding txt file

I am new to actionscipt, and been messing around whith the idea of ASCII external text (from a converted image) creating a grid of the same movieclip, having each instance a keyframe to correspond a character in the loaded text file.

So, if you have five characters in the text file, the movieclip also has five frames, each one corresponding to a character in the text.

The main problem now is to create the stucture for this to be possible, since i´m not very familiar with all the programing implications that might be needed.

Any help, hint or sugestion is welcome.
