I love Coldplay and the new album is excellent. Viva La Vida is my second favorite song by them besides Fix You

I'd rather watch my dad star in a homosexual porno movie than listen to ten seconds of this album.

So what real artist's sound are they aping this album? They were almost okay sounding when they were ripping off Radiohead on their first album, but they did a really bad impression of U2. Plus Chris Martin is a total Deutsche mark (i.e. d-bag).

   brilliant.
I'm hating on this too, super bland rubbish for 30 something accountant type dudes trying to act hip, it all went wrong for CP after the second album IMO.

It grows on you, but you'll hate yourself for that.

I've never been a fan of coldplay. Their lyrics are all so cheesy and bland, and void of almost any real thought or feeling. Just listen to Radiohead, that's what coldplay is trying to be anyway.

I have no idea what they're saying in any of their songs but I bought this yesterday just for the hell of it. It's decent for background noise but I can't see myself getting in to it at all.

I like nobody leave it looping in the background as just something to listen to when my ear catches it and wow... it kind of makes one slowly die inside.
Trust me just leave it playing for long enough and it will happen. Weird effect... I thought the same thing.

Good music shouldn't have to be enjoyed by listening to it as background noise....

That's why it's not good music and just serves as background music at the chateau de jenkins

but like, why not put GOOD music on in the background? like Enya, or like, Theory of a Deadman

I enjoy Coldplay when the mood strikes me from time to time. I've only heard one song from the new one, but I liked it.

If you can take a joke about cancer after having lost a few loved ones to it, you can take a joke about anything. :shifty:

Not to mention, that song is STOLEN.
Makes you wonder.. how many heart attack jokes do you think George Carlin made?

Chinese Sleep Chant sounds like a My Bloody Valentine song, whom I like, so at least they have good taste in choosing influences.

I love it :) i don't care if there mainstream, which i usually avoid, i think the guy actually likes what hes singing and isn't doing it to get popular, plus its really relaxing
