SPORE Creature Editor

A preview version of the SPORE editor is making the rounds on the internet. (http://rapidshare.de/files/39717086/SCCTrialSetup.exe.html)
It works amazingly. Download it and post your stuff.

I made a Cthulhu, and a radially symmetric creature.

Apparently these images have the creature data embedded in them and you can drag these into the creature creator to edit them.

Spore is for PC & Mac on Sept. 7th. So there is no reason to not buy the game.

Their site makes it confusing...it says that you'd have to pay for the complete version of the creature creator, when I heard they would be releasing that entire part for free? Or maybe I got it wrong. Oh, and Temp, I'm totally making a human race.

^A limited trial would be released a few days before is what I heard. There site is pretty simple to understand. I don't believe they were every gonna release the Creature Creator for free.

The plan is to release the the trial that I posted with a limited parts pallet and full version with all the parts in the game for $10. I'm not sure if you get a discount on the full game if you buy that. But I'll probably end up buying it anyways. It's soooooo cool.

I've made a few...it was pretty fun exactly how it functions in that demo video they did awhile back. The game should be worth it no matter what. Anyway, I couldn't make a Human like thing with the parts at hand...but I did make this flying thing modeled after a airplane combined with a helicopter lol....it's drifting/jumping ability was like 5 something hahaha.

Why can't he make it after the release? I think the trial is the same as the downloadable, except we can't access online content since they don't want people using that until the release.

^Fidodo there are like 30 body parts in the Trial. The real creature creator has 228 body parts which pretty much unlocks everything one can think of making in a creature. I already preordered it which seemed useless as its through download only. :lol:

The trial severely limits the shapes of heads that we can use thus making a perfect human is kind of hard. Some of the more adult themed creatures do a pretty good job at depicting humans though.

Dude I don't even like GTA4 I just dont like games that have no point or goals I dont like open games IDK I just dont.

I grew up playing linear games I guess I'm just accustomed to linear games with boundries.

Like I said I'm either getting old, wierder or games are just sucking real bad.

6600 is the lowest model graphics card. I believe unless your mac is before pre colonial times you should be able to run at least the creature creator (the full game probably takes a little more).

The creature creator or the whole game? Not sure what could be annoying about it. The only thing that was annoying is that they released so many videos and details 2 years ago and it's just coming out in September. Then again something can be said for viral marketing; it works.
