Just wanted to share this image I made over the weekend. It is done in fireworks and a lil freehand. No blends at all just gradients and pen tool.......Let me know what yall think
Had to drop the quality for the upload.....sorry

the wheels look a little rough... at least in the jpeg - they look very "generated from bitmap"
otherwise its quite awesome

yeah I got lazy on the wheels and used a freehand function.....and then altered the paths manually....they are supposed to be spinning.....maybe Ill go in and fix lata........took a bunch of hours to complete
fluid: yeah I could pull it off in flash..But it would be even harder due to the combine path functions missing

Sexy indeed. :) The Boxster is a fantastic car without a doubt. Almost like MG TF, wouldn't you say? :P
Nice work though, I particularly like the bodywork.

yeah around the passenger door I used a stroke when I should not have....I think tonight I will go in polish up the wheels and fix some of the edges. Got very irritated after a while and rushed thru it....
Thanks ya'll

Yeah mine too! Last year I asked my boss if I could have one as a company car. For christmas she got me one!
... but in hotwheels form :P
I have it sitting on my monitor... right next to my Bruce McDonalds toy, which is next to my lego man.

Tightened up a few lines and cleaned the wheels up a bit..
Thanks Grim Yeah some real cool stuff can be pulled off with vectors. I used to be a real vector freak....But when I started 3d got rusty a lil bit....So I did this over the weekend to get polished back up...

Wow for something completely vector it's really jaggedy around some of the edges.

yeah in the last posted image I fixed some anemolies but for some reason the angle of some of the lines and antialias gives it a pixely look when I drop the optimize.......go figure

I considered myself the vector king once up a time but I cannot figure out how to get rid of the pixellation you are seeing in some of the areas...It has something to do with the particular curve or angle to the line.........
Anbody have an idea? This is ruining my creation.

very nice, one thing - the shadow underneath makes it look like its floating! otherwise excellent!

Hi,
So jagged edges? How are you rasterising this puppy?
However you are doing it you want an initial ppi (or dpi if you want but I am not going to get into that now) of at least 1200 then rescale it down to whatever. Should give you a sharper line.
thx.

yeah I remember that....I think I was like the second to post on it.....Simply awesome. I forgot how fun vectors can be. So I did this one. Although I rushed throught it at one point so it took like 5 hours or so. I would love to do a collab vector with ya. WHen we both have time :)
