Grunge style Kirupa

Here is my Grunge Design Header for Kirupa. Need you comments on this guys

Just slight variation of of fonts that I was trying. I love them both though. The first goes in this contest, the second is just i played with the font and wanted to share with you guys. Lemme know your views.

I like this one, the blue on the "Kirupa" is really nice, the candy effect is sweet. Good job.

Nice style. I dislike the typography though. Web2.0 shine on the logo isn't that grunge and in my opinion the fonts don't match the graphical elements. For the searchbox goes the same, just doesn't seem part of the header.

I would recommend to keep expermenting on fonts till you found something that actually fits. And use some grunge effects on it instead of a shine/lighting effect. Try to include the searchbox instead of it being elements placed on top of your graphic.

Where's the "grunge"? I don't see the color scheme, the typography or the theme intended to be portrayed going together at all.
