does anyone know a file uploader program that will work for me? here is my problem:

I am trying to upload files I can't upload using dreamweaver, it doesn't work, and i cant get any other type of software to work properly, except for Uploader! but that expired. all other uploaders get to the point of entering the password, i enter the right one (i know it is, i even copied it from a .txt document and pasted it in the spaces) but the server always denies it. i can't get any file onto any server other that 0catch, but thats because they have an uploading service on their website.

do have a firewall, but the uploaders get past that no problem, connection is made.

does anyone know what i can do????

got start->run->type in command-then type in "FTP" in the command prompt

Since you probably have never used this before, type help when the prompt changes to ftp>

See Windows is worth that you pay for it! :p:

IMO CuteFTP works a little bit better, and is easier to use for the novice.

If the FTP program is giving you a incorrect password error message that means you have the password wrong. However if it is getting past that and just hanging, it could be that you need the PASV mode checked. If you are behind a firewall I am pretty sure PASV would need to be on.

Dunno if that's your problem, but it's worth a go :)

sounds more like a software thing than a connection problem. Did you end up trying SmartFTP? Its free to use for as long as you like for non-commercial purposes.

If not, try that.

I was about to use it, but my NEW server (www.madsims.net) has an upload feature. So, there is no problem.
